We hear lots of students say they want to learn to do a handstand but don’t feel confident getting upside down. This workshop with Macy will give you the tools, fundamentals and confidence to get you there!
Macy will cover the following topics with you:
- Flexibility advantages
- Strength drills
- Basic body positioning and alignment
- Kicking to handstand
We will break down handstands to better help manage each piece that is required to have the body working together harmoniously. We will practice all elements with the intention that you understand them enough to bring them home with you to train on your own.
*There will be opportunity to take notes and use your phone to video any parts of the workshop.
Prerequisites: This workshop is suitable for individuals who can perform a kick up into handstand to the wall but do not have a solid freestanding handstand. You do not have to have a free standing handstand to participate in this workshop.
