Body in Balance welcomes Kelly Knaub/Ajeet Kirtan Kaur to the studio for an exciting Kundalini Yoga workshop!

In this two-hour workshop, we will learn how to “tune in” by invoking the Adi Mantra to begin a Kundalini yoga practice. We will also learn a protective mantra known as the Mangala Charn, which creates a protective layer of white light around the auric field. Then we will practice a kriya, or set of exercises, to awaken to what are known in Kundalini yoga as the Ten Bodies.

The final phase of the workshop will include a powerful meditation in which we will chant the Laya Yoga form of the Adi Shakti Mantra. This meditation is known to rotate the energy of the chakras and the aura, stimulate your creativity, and help you stay focused on your priorities.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini yoga is a practice that is thousands of years old and was taught in secret from master to disciple until it was brought to the West in the late 1960s by a Kundalini yoga master and Sikh known as Yogi Bhajan. This form of yoga is known for elevating your consciousness and awakening your creative potential. It is known as “the yoga of awareness” and utilizes breath, yogic postures, hand positions called mudras, and mantras, which are chanted in the ancient languages of Sanskrit or Gurmukhi. Each kriya, or set of exercises, is designed to balance the nervous and glandular systems, as well as the subtle energy centers known as chakras.

Kelly Knaub/Ajeet Kirtan Kaur is a Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher; spiritual coach; Reiki, shamanic healing, and aromatherapy practitioner; poet, and student of Tantra. Her journey with yoga began in the late 1990s and eventually led to nearly a decade of study in Kripalu yoga before she stepped onto her Kundalini path.
