Membership Terms & Conditions

* Memberships are based on a one-month time period. Accounts will be debited on the same date each month for a minimum of three months.

* There is a 3-month minimum commitment to memberships. After three months the membership can be paused or canceled with 30 days written notice. There is no fee for pausing or canceling your membership. Memberships will continue to be auto-debited until the client cancels in writing with 30 days notice.

* All sessions and classes must be used within the month. Sessions and classes do not carry over to the next month.

* Sessions and classes are based on space availability.

* Memberships may be “frozen” for as little as 7 days or as much as 6 months. 30 days advanced, written notice is required to secure your freeze without incurring a charge. Same-day freezes can be arranged, but your card will still be charged as scheduled. After 6 months, the membership will resume as usual. Please inquire for further explanation.

* Any changes you would like to make to your membership (suspend, switch to another membership, terminate) after the initial 3-month commitment without 30 days notice is subject to 50% of the remaining balance. Early cancelations of memberships must pay 50% of the remaining balance owed for the 3-month commitment.

* Bounced payments and declined credit cards will result in a $30 fee, charged within 48 hours after payment has failed.

*Renew and save packages are sold at a 15% discount and require a 3-month commitment. Package is held to its regular expiration date (6 block for 8 weeks, 12 block for 12 weeks, 24 block for 24 weeks) from the date of purchase. Cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. Auto-renew will process automatically to the card on file when the package runs out. Please allow 30 days notice to change the card on file. A $30 fee will be applied to declined cards. If package is unused by the expiration date, the auto-renew will process when the package expires, even if visits remain. Additional promotions cannot be applied. Packages cannot be frozen. If client wishes to cancel this package early, they must pay 50% of the remaining balance of the 3-month commitment.

General Terms & Conditions

* Drop-in classes and privates expire in 30 days (1 months/4 weeks); 6 class or private block expires in 60 days (2 months/8 weeks) after the first use; 12 block expires in 90 days (3 months/12 weeks) after the first use; 24 block expires in 6 months (24 weeks) after the first use. If packages are unused within 12 months of purchase, they expire completely. Sorry, no refunds. NO EXCEPTIONS. This includes the Auto-Renew class packages of 6, 12, and 24. Auto Renew expiration dates begin from the first date of purchase.

* 24-hour cancellation policy to avoid being charged in full.

* Instructors may be substituted without notice.

* Prices do not include taxes. Fees and schedules are subject to change.

* Group Sessions are drop-in, but advanced registration is highly recommended, as there are limited spaces available. You can sign up for classes with our online system.

* If the class you are trying to register for is full, you can add yourself to the wait list. When a spot in the class opens up, you will receive an email or text message notifying you (please change your preferences on your online profile). You are responsible for managing your wait-listed classes. Please be prepared to come to the class if you are on the wait list. Spots do open up regularly and you will be held to the late cancellation policy if you are added (unless you are added within 60 minutes of the start of class in which case we will not charge the late cancellation fee).

* A client may avoid the same-day cancellation charge if they 1) give up their class to another paying client or 2) take another class the same day with the same instructor, provided neither class had a wait list.

* Some prepaid services are transferable but not refundable. Some restrictions apply.

* If missed or canceled class is a specialty workshop, it can only be transferred to a future workshop with the same instructor and of the same nature. If the missed class is with an outside or guest instructor, NO REFUNDS can be offered.

* Please notify your instructor prior to your session if you had any injuries, car accidents or new health concerns since your last session. You are responsible for making sure that you are physically able to participate.

Studio Etiquette

* Body in Balance is an open concept studio. Classes and/or private sessions may be occurring concurrently. Please keep conversations to an appropriate level, especially on stairs or in common areas.

* Please be aware that certain classes have clothing requirements and restrictions. Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing. For more information, please ask or see class descriptions. You will not be allowed to take a class if you are not wearing appropriate clothing. This is a safety and health concern. Please ensure proper and acceptable hygiene measures are taken. No oils on the skin as they can damage equipment or hinder performance. Please avoid wearing chemical perfumes or unnaturally-scented products; they may cause health effects upon others.

* Please keep personal belongings in designated member storage areas. We have waste bins conveniently placed around our facility, so please place cups and other garbage in the appropriate bin. When you are done using any studio and gym props please return them to their “home.”

* Please do not bring food into the facility. Make sure all drink containers can be closed with a lid to prevent spillage.

* Please do not drop or throw weights and please don’t be forceful with the equipment, if it is not a smooth equipment function it is not meant to happen.

* Students may come early to stretch before class. However, please be respectful of classes that are in session around you. ALL EQUIPMENT (ie reformers, chairs, etc) must be used under direct instructor supervision, and therefore may NOT be used as a warm-up.

* All new students (new to Pilates equipment) must go through an introductory private session or a Beginner’s only class with one of our trained Pilates instructors to continue on into a group setting.

* Please turn all cell phone devices down or off while in the studio, so all clients may enjoy and focus on their practice.

* Classes may be canceled due to insufficient numbers of participants.

* No gum-chewing while in class — chewing gum while working out is a choking hazard.

* Prepaid services are transferable but not refundable.

Studio Rental Policies

* Space rentals are for personal use (practice, rehearsals, videotaping, etc.), and are not for profit or instructional purposes. Please note, if guidelines are not adhered to we reserve the right to end your rental early without refund.

* A 24-hour cancelation policy applies when booking a private space rental; you will not receive your credit back for future use if you cancel less than 24 hours ahead of time.

* Space rentals are booked by the hour. We do not book half-hour rentals.

* Space rentals for photo shoots or video projects, retreats, or other events for pay or instruction must be booked through the front desk at info@bodybalancemaui.com and are subject to availability and additional fees.
